Heheh. I've been looking for a way to bring Kevin back. I think Kevin can fly (it looks like he's flying in this comic), but if you remember, Superhero Girl can only leap over buildings shorter than 11 stories. So in terms of sibling fights, advantage Kevin.
... Superhero Girl appears to have a new superpower, I think. Ah, the joy of making stuff up as you go along. So different from my regular comics! :D hahah.
The last panel alone is just excellent. The entire essence of this update, in one little panel. Well done!
ReplyDeleteI think the heat vision is a good idea. You can spend some time explaining, little by little, why she doesn't use it very often.
ReplyDeleteIt should be called "Supervillain Girl, The beginnings". Having a jerk, bully superhero as brother is a good reason to turn yourself eventually into evilness.
ReplyDeleteI love this comic and can't wait to get the book, it should be even better on the page. The last panel is truly awesome!
ReplyDeleteI especially like the tiny "poke" sound effect.
ReplyDeleteMelting big brothers stuff in revenge should have been a major deterrent to that sort of behavior. Imagine a hot-foot every time he tried to talk to a girl.
ReplyDeleteSorry was getting confused which comic I was reading I just read the latest Friends with Boys before this one. oops!
ReplyDelete1. Does Mom have superpowers?
ReplyDelete2. Perhaps Superhero Girl lost her heat vision in adolescence, instead of gaining it, like Clark Kent does in some versions.
3. I look forward to further "Superhero Girl: The Early Years" tales.
This goes to the top of the list of my favorite SHG strips.
ReplyDeleteAhhhh! This is just tooo cute! The first panel has me giggling over and over. And poor mom. Just too cute! Reminds me a little of the dinner table scene in The Incredibles.
ReplyDeleteI don't think either of SHG's parents have superpowers. It makes it more interesting, and hopefully a little less like The Incredibles. ;)
ReplyDeleteThis is so awesome! I love the idea of superhero siblings so much. This is hilariously adorable.
ReplyDeleteCool! Heat vision. Good decision!
ReplyDeleteI think it would be awesome if, yes Kevin can fly, but he has some other completely useless superpower that she can give him crap about. Or, of course, it would more likely make him more human and thus bond them as he's not really that bad, just trying to overcome his lame ability... or whatever ;)
ReplyDeleteGoodness Lil'Kevin and Lil'SHG are adorable
ReplyDeleteWell since both of them have, seemingly since birth, superpowers, it would not be bad to have an ancestor with them, but it doesn't have to be the parents directly of course.
ReplyDeleteKevin, just be glad she didn't use it to zap you out of the sky.
