Superhero Girl 58

For me the real star of this strip is the small child, who seems to be the same small child that pointed out the Emperor wasn't wearing any clothes. Way to point out the obvious, small child!

Oh, and apparently tomorrow is the apocalypse? Okay. Guess I don't have to have a comic ready for Tuesday! :D

  2. Considering the roots of the superhero genre (mythology of people who often have the blood of gods in their veins), it's always amusing to see superheros depicted in oh-so-human moments of clumsiness to help the common man identify with them. ^^;;

    Besides. SHG is a cute klutz. ;)

  3. Technically, tomorrow is not the Apocalypse, but the Rapture -- when Evangelicals get taken up to heaven. After that comes several years of Tribulation for those of us left behind, at the end of which comes the Apocalypse.

    So, you know, I for one would enjoy seeing a new comic on Tuesday... if you're still around ....

  4. In the event of the Rapture I'm planning on hiding behind Thor.

  5. What JoshM said. Also, "Apocalypse" is just the Greek word for "Revelation," so it arrives (a) whenever something is revealed to someone, or (b) whenever the final book of the New Testament is delivered. Tribulation is what we've had for the last couple of hundred thousand years.

    And that little girl in today's comic? I want to buy her a nice doll, or some pretty shoes or something. She's great.

  7. Being able to fly would probably help avert those crashes into the ground. Maybe she could learn from Spectacle. ;)

  8. Hillarious! The kid's line really made the strip.

  9. Reminds me of "The Tick" cartoon (which is a good thing)!

  10. The "Oh crap" panel is perfect. I love the expression on SHG's face. :)
