And thus begins Superhero Girl's Quest for a Hobby! I wonder how this will turn out. Far as I know, she still doesn't have a job, so I'm guessing ... not well!
BTW, major thanks to everyone who's dropped by the comic recently, passed the link on to others and left comments here, I really appreciate it. I'm really grateful for all the feedback and with it the knowledge that people really are enjoying my comics. You guys are the best!
Also, I can't believe it's June already. Well, tomorrow, but still. This year is passing far too quickly...
Oooh, striped shirts and masks ? It's nice to see that some bank robbers are still upholding the traditions !
ReplyDeleteWhatever hobby Superhero Girl settles on, she should stay away from ANYTHING having to do with collecting. Many a super villain got their start by wanting to collect something unusual. Penguins, cats, anything having to do with the number 2...
ReplyDeleteway to spin a yarn.....
ReplyDeleteKnitting is a good hobby. I endorse that one fully. Especially if she uses circular needles, because they present all sorts of crime-fighting possibilities.
ReplyDeleteI'm down with Knitting! But be wary of repetitive stress (carpal tunnel)... There's apparently these knitting gloves that will reduce any damage... :)
ReplyDeleteWait, what happened to February?!?
ReplyDeleteRe: SG's hobby -- Yes, knitting is excellent. Especially as she has exhibited a certain degree of superhuman speed, maybe she can turn it into a side business selling SG sweaters at craft fairs. Or she can find the official "fourth Doctor" scarf knitting pattern, and finish it in an evening.
I've nothing interesting to say, except that I love the strip and check in every Tuesday and Friday. Thanks for making it!
ReplyDeleteYay for knitting! Good choice.
ReplyDeleteYou should have her knitting (or crocheting) toys, then she can make a little Superhero Girl doll (amigurumi).
Knitting sounds like a good hobby for her...... Why do I expect something to go wrong?
ReplyDeleteNo job?? Does she have a Bruce Wayne-like inheritance or does she belong to some sort of superhero league that subsidizes her secret identity living expenses?
ReplyDeleteJust to add to the feedback: I love this comic and the way you draw the characters.
ReplyDeleteThe author comments from Ms. Hicks, and from Wood and Rick above, improve this one from "amusing" to "hilarious".
ReplyDeleteFongolia, she was living off a government superhero grant but that is just about dry, and she is now looking for a hobby with time she should be spending looking for a day job.
ReplyDeleteYour comment made me wonder if you're still getting a notice of some sort for the comments I've been making here as I've been going through the archives. It looks like I'm just about the only one who's left a comment in years, and I know I used to be self-conscious about leaving comments when going through archives in the past. Your comment renewed my faith in the value of giving feedback, even years after, though.
ReplyDeleteThe film drains the spark from four talented young actors with clunky dialogue and a crushingly dull narrative. The special effects aren't that special, either.
