Superhero Girl's relationship with her roommate is a bit odd. The roommate knows Superhero Girl is a superhero, and seems to also have some interest in learning the trade, but ... well, you know how it's sometimes awkward when you live with the people you work with? Yeah, that's not so fun sometimes. Anyway, Superhero Girl seems to have gone from zero to Crazy Cat Lady in the blink of an eye. Not that I blame her. Cats are adorable and we were put on this earth to cuddle them and be their servants.
Well cats are technically crimefighters, if you count mice as criminals.
ReplyDeleteKitty! =^-^=
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to see SHG's mom is also a hero by trade. It helps flesh her out a little without giving us a massive information dump that the majority of readers would skim over without really reading.
Considering that Superhero Girl IS a hero... I'm surprised she doesn't train her roommate. After all, the Sidekick is a Heroic Tradition. ^^

SHGs mum is a SH? where do we read this? or has rodert got insider nolage? *off to faiths blog*
ReplyDeleteMercy: sometimes people who own cats call themselves the cat's mommy :)
ReplyDeleteHahahahaha too cute to resist. I love cats.
Yes, sorry if that was confusing. SHG's calling herself the cat's mommy. She's not referring to her own mom. If you own a cat, you'll get it. ;)
ReplyDeleteMy parents sometimes ask about their "feline granchild," but they're probably making fun of me. ^_^
All Glory to the Hypno-Cat!
ReplyDeleteThis is my favourite one so far. The expression on the cat's face is hilarious!
ReplyDeleteThank you for upping the size on the RSS feed, really appreciate it!
ReplyDeleteIs it just me or does SHG really look like Harley Quinn today ? :D
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, I didn't notice that, but with her mask on and hair up, she does look like Harley!
ReplyDeletei hope she and her roommate team up. does superhero girl ever take her mask off?? or is it like a birthmark???
ReplyDeleteShe does take her mask off, but not until later in the comic.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad SHG has a papasan.
ReplyDeleteSo does this place SHG within the DC universe? Also, "Shazbutt" will be my word of the day now.
ReplyDeleteBen >> I have a papasan! I got it at Wicker Emporium about 5 years ago. I really need to get a new cushion, tho.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous>> She's watching Batman cartoons. So she's in this universe, not the DCU.
^_^ very nice watching some batman.
ReplyDeletebut yeah great comic page XD. i been enjoying every page. its a fun read^^
i guess she has weakness to cats. lol. or anything cute.^^. oh.. thats good not mixing training with room mate..maybe i am getting all into it. but it seem if she would train her and she would get her..she will feel really bad. but yeah great read^^
"Cats are adorable and we were put on this earth to cuddle them and be their servants."
ReplyDeleteThe very second after I read that, as if she'd sensed something, my cat picked the moment to scratch and meow to be in the room with me. And of course I obeyed like a good kittyslave. *sigh*
I was just reading this with my 3 year old daughter. She says "Hey! She's sitting on the papasan! That's me!" Then she says me "She sorta looks like me." The kid thinks ALL drawings of girls with pig tails are her.
ReplyDeleteGreat comic!
You know there are superheroes who trained pets to be crime fighters, such as Superman with Krypto, Batman with Ace, and even Power Girl with her orange cat.
ReplyDeleteP.S. Is Power Girl the inspiration for "training the cat to fight crime" idea?
