Superhero Girl 73

OH NO SHE DIDN'T. Even Superhero Girl's future version of herself thinks she sucks. I sense future face punching.

Sometimes I marvel at where this comic goes. Such is the fun of having a completely non-planned out comic. Originally I started this storyline with a single joke (hood up = Evil Superhero Girl) and it has become a cross time caper of epic proportions. It's amazing what you can pull out of your butt on a weekly basis. :D

  1. Why doesn't she look like the older one? I mean, I imagine that Superhero Girl is in her twenties so ten years older than her is in her thirties but looks exactly the same. Now, I don't want to claim that 30-years-old people are old and wrinkled, but a bit more visible difference would be nice.
Otherwise i see two nice looking girls about to fight, which is awesome.

  2. I for one think Superhero Girl is pretty damn awesome. She flipped a monster into outer space. She saved a kitty. Heck, she just has to look at certain criminals and they return the loot they stole. That is awesomeness. Heck, even Superman still has idiots who shoot at him rather than realize they're completely overclassed. ^^;;

So I think youth and determination is going to overcome age and treachery. Especially as she's not a time-traveler. She's a robot double. After all, if SVG was a time traveler, why not go to someplace where she knows there aren't any heroes and steal THEIR gold and loot? Tsk. Silly wannabe time travelers.

  3. Stupid plan. As Robert said, there is better ways to make mony for a time traveler (See Back to the Future series) without even the need of crime, much less risking a battle with your own younger version (for example: any permanent injuries she receives, they are also yours).

  4. About what SStefania said, there is kind of a difference cuz it looks like SVG has wider hips.

  5. SHG has aged well. Maybe that's another one of her superpowers. Eternal youth would be kinda cool...

  6. I hope the time stream is fluid in the Superhero Girl, so that she doesn't become a villain in the future; I'm glad she's not a part of the DC universe.
Supervillain Girl needs a reality check; on the other hand, she may give Superhero Girl an incentive to clean up her image for the crowd.

  7. "[...]Rich and Powerful, like a Supervillain[...]"
Therefore Bill Gates is a Supervillain, I never knew.

  8. Shouldn't future Superhero Girl remember how this battle went? *head hurts*

You've obviously never used Windows ME or Internet Explorer, have you?

  12. Its a good idea, but I'm not understanding the physics...

I hate it when people ignore the basic rules of time travel. SVG must already have faced herself as SHG, and she lives (i.e. SHG won). But that also means that SHG must win again, because she already has. That would mean for teh plot to make any degree of sense, you would have to make SHG more stupid as she ages and becomes SVG, because no idiot would start a fight that they can't win.

She literally has no chance, because SHG must win, because SVG was once SHG, and so must have one the fight between SVG and herself before, which just means it will happen again.

If everyone has already gone through the alaborate thinking pattern before me, I apologise, (like Mark)but I needed to do it for myself.

    1. That is not a basic rule at all, since many stories explain it with "traveling into an alternate past" or "creating a brand new, alternate past" explanation, that in fact doesn't make any less sense for all we know.

  13. Maybe she just forgot. After all, it's been ten years from Super Villain Girl's point of view.
