Superhero Girl 41

Oh hipsters, I love that you make this joke possible. You and your stupid little scarves. This is CANADA! In CANADA we wear scarves that PROTECT our FACES against the COLD! Bah.

Anyway, this comic amuses me, months after I drew it, so I guess I did something right. God I love hipsters. Please, continue to be weather inappropriate so I can make jokes about it! (This will be the last hipster joke until at least the next comic. And then there will be no more. Promise.)

  3. Nice to see that random people on the street know who she is. Clearly, she is having some success in this super hero hobby of hers...

  5. "Come ON people, Hipsters feel pain too!" *snickers*

Great line, that! And this is why supervillains need to dress up as well.

  6. LOL the line about the scarf cracked me up!

Although to be honest, being English, the word 'hipster' just cracks me up. It sounds so Beatnik 1950's, I find it funny that Americans and Canadians say it :)

  7. Bravo on yet another wonderful installment! Once SHG's war against the hipsters is all wrapped up she might turn her attention to mall brats?

  8. I like her transformation sequence. Part phone booth/Linda Carter, part anime twirly speed lines. And yet her costume is so simple. Awesome.

  10. I once saw two hipsters walking down the street, and they looked exactly alike. I don't think they were twins or brothers, they both just transmogrified into the definitive archetype.

  11. So, wait, people notice her hitting the guy, but not the glowy, zappy, shrink-ray beam he just shot down the street? So they blame the thing on her? ...You know, sometimes I sympathize with Spiderman's angst. Save people a billion times, and they still blame you for everything.

  12. Come on the hipster stuff is cute - but your all missing the great hero transform sequence. Superman ducked into a phone booth, Wonder Woman had the spin, Batman and Robin slid down a pole, but nobody has a "Fwip, Ziiip, Flap, Ta Daa"
