Superhero Girl 33

Heheh. So the Saga of King Ninja was over (for the moment), and my line of thought as I drew this strip was "OH CRAP I leave for New York Comic Con in 12 hours and I have no jeans that don't have holes in the crotch. Therefor I will quickly slap together a stand alone comic, and get the hell to wherever there are jeans without holes in the crotch and I will purchase them AHHHHHHGH."

Yeah. It was stressful. But New York was fun, and I did find some new jeans, so it all worked out in the end.

  1. I think "Put it back" may be one of the best lines a Superhero has used (that was obeyed) yet. =^-^= I mean, you don't see Spiderman telling baddies to "put it back" and have them listen. And I doubt Superman has ever had someone listen to him in that way.

    Damn but she's good. ;)

  2. Ahaha. Love it.

Also, thanks for reminding me I'm currently down to one pair of jeans myself...

  3. I agree, this is one of my favorites. Nice to know that sometimes SuperHero Girl can have a day of relaxing. I love imagining the robber walking sullenly all the way back to the bank or store, sheepishly handing the bags over to police who then escort him to prison. The new guy would be totally surprised by the outcome while a few of the old dogs know that SuperHero Girl probably played a part and secretly nod to each other. But that could just be my imagination going way too far...

  4. I love how it's 2011, but in Superhero Girl's world, criminals still wear masks and prison shirts, and they steal large bags conveniently labeled with dollar signs!

  5. I love it! It always bothers me when your average criminal thug still tries to shoot Superman. Do they not watch the news? What's the point? If a superhero like that catches you, just give up...

  7. I think all criminals should steal large bags of money labelled with dollar signs. Then they are CLEARLY criminals and we can treat them as such. It's when they wear fancy suits and have nice haircuts that we have a problem...

Hm, clearly I'm still thinking about those crazy Wall Street guys from 2008. BAH.

  8. Hmmm, none of my jeans have holes in the crotch.

What IS a day in the life of a web comic artist like that makes makes life so hard on canvas crotches?
